A How-To Quickie!
I am little Ms. Procrastinator and I waited until last night to do my original Do-it-yourself project which unfortunately failed because of the wrong tools. But I have this quick and dirty project for you now and there will also be a DIY Wednesday!
One of my favourite sites, Refinery 29, featured an awesome post on the bow-tie as a spring trend for girls! I instantly loved this idea so I made one out of an old hair clip and a pin.
What You need
- A Hair bow or bow of any kind
- A pin, (a safety pin will do)
Instructions
- I used a hair bow. The clip on the back was attached with glue so it was easy to remove (pull!). If you decide to use one it may be sewed on but that’s easy enough to take off.
- Attach the pin and put it on your favourite collared shirt!

I think the key to pulling this off is to wear non-traditional colours. If you wear a black bow-tie with a white collared shirt you’re sure to look like a waiter or a groom.
What do you think of this trend? Is it better left to the boys?
