The Inspiration

Last week one of my favourite Toronto bloggers, Karyn from
Makesomething.ca,  featured Cool Couture Remake Dresses,
a Japanese Dress book (one of many she features) that transforms
men’s sweatshirts and dress shirts into one-of-a-kind pieces. I was so inspired by her
post that I went to Etsy and bought a copy for myself! But a problem arose when I started
planning for this DIY…

The Dilemma

With the book on my sewing table and many pages bookmarked, I was ready to begin but I faced a dilemma: no not the fact that the directions are all in Japanese. There are diagrams explaining the projects and with my sewing experience I’m confident I can figure it out sans verbal instructions. What I faced was: which one should I start with? There’s so many amazing projects! So I thought I would ask for your input.

The Question

Out of the five options featured below, which one should I do?

Flirty Sleeves

Balloon Silhouette

The ‘X’ Dress

Comfy Cardigan

Bow Type Thing

The Procedure

Please write your pick in the comment section below. I’ll let you know by Friday which one I’m doing and then show you the results next Tuesday, November 24!

ps. Balloon Silhouette is closed in the front, it looks like a regular sweatshirt (the awesome pose makes it difficult to really see) and the comfy cardigan is actually made up of two sweatshirts, there’s a horizontal seam at her waist

** The Answer

Nov. 20/09

The Bow Thing wins! I’ll post the results next tuesday!
