Proposal

Boring isn’t it? I have started re-purposing this bag several times but every time I begin another new idea pops into my head. So I require your help! Please help me decide which project to do! To vote please comment below.

Studs and Fringe

Like peanut butter and jam… best combination ever

Monster bow

Something Minnie Mouse and Snow White would fight over.

Metallic writing

Very romantic. I’m not sure if it would have the same effect on my purse given the different shape but I could write something else like, “My Vintage Secret” (ooh marketing opportunity), or “I stole this from my sister” (which I think I did looking back on it…)

Fleur

Oh-so-pretty! I have some leftover leather from a previous project which would work perfectly for this DIY.

Chain Mail

This would make a good sound as I walk.

Something Lethal

I really love the “danger” of this look so I was thinking to apply studs the same way to the handle of the purse. This would probably injure me but hey, all in the name of DIY.

Other?

If you happen upon another diy possibility and want to put me to work let me know! I love figuring out how things are made so don’t hesitate to ask!

ps. I found this little number during my “research” and had to share; for people who want their personal space

pps. I love you Whitney! Thanks for the purse!

the other ones i dont think suit the shape of the purse as much. the purse is longer therefore… maybe if you hung the chains like it was a necklace? not necessarily vertical as show in the example… i cant really describe it properly, but have it connected on one side drooping onto the other. that could look cool too!

  3. I love all your ideas. My favorite is studs + fringe and the chainmail. I would love to see a diy version of the metallic writing but with something small like the example.

  4. I guess bow? I don’t know. I don’t really like any of these. Haha. I’m the worst. I’m no good at purses, though.

But guess what?! I bought the Coach Madison Large Leather Hippie! So excited about this. I’m so used to carrying small vintage bags that can’t hold everything I need to carry day to day. Now I can bring my book AND day planner with me everywhere I go! Hah.

  5. P.S. I LOVE these big avatars! I look great up there. Haha.

Bow! I love bows. You should make one and then give us a tutorial. Haha

Thanks for your votes everyone! Looks like I’ll be adding chains to this purse (one way or another)!

Check in next tuesday to see how I did (wish me luck!)

@rayanne the bigger the better! Your bag sounds amaazing! And yes, you DO look great up there ;)

Hey, I loved the post. Random thought, but I recently sold most of my old heels and started my wordrobe from scratch again. The first thing I want is a pair of brown Tory Burch flats! I like the way they look with a pair of tight jeans. I am incredibly excited about getting some! Anyway, keep up the excellent work!

@Moshe I’m glad you enjoyed my post! Thank-you! It’s nice to hear you donated clothes! It’s such a cleansing process. Thanks for your comment!
