Do you remember those Suave commercials? Where the two gorgeous girls walk in slow motion, with hair bouncing around and a voice-over says, “One of these girls is wearing Suave, and the other, a salon brand. If you can’t tell the difference why should we?” THIS feels like one of those moments. I was shopping today and gasped (loudly) when I saw this cardigan because it immediately reminded me of the Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony version that came out this past fall. Like everything Chloë does, I loved this piece from her collection but the $380 price tag quickly popped my dream bubble. However, now I feel like I found it’s long lost older brother. This cardigan is from my favourite thrift store, Double Take (PS. students get 50% off with id) and I purchased it for a cool $3.50.

I almost considered posing like cutie Taylor Momsen as a “compare/contrast” but laughed just thinking about it as I would probably end up looking like a goldfish and not a sexy, drugged one.

I LOVE this I need to go thrifting!

  3. Great find. It’s totally comparable to the Chloe. You should have modelled it – I would have liked to see how you could ever look like a goldfish!

And thanks for the stud info. Going to check out the sites right now.

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

@ShopTOLive Yes I should have modeled it. However, I would’ve scared the pants off of you as I was going on about 3 hours sleep! That’s probably the scariest part about blogging for me – I hate taking pictures of myself! But I will strive to do more of that b/c I think people get a better sense of the item when I do. Thanks for the comment!
